Chile: Major Sponsor of the Washington, D.C. Restaurant Association Awards Gala

For a second year Chile will be a sponsor of the Restaurant Association of Metropiltan Washington Awards Gala (RAMMYS) which will be held on June 25, 2006 at the Marriot Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, D.C.

In June 2005, Chile participated for the first time as a sponsor of the RAMMYS providing the wine for this Gala.

This year, due to a very close collaboration with the restaurant industry of the DC area, Chile has been recognized by the excellent quality of its products and its sophisticated production technologies. Therefore, Chile’s participation will be more important both in terms of products and exposure.

Chile will again provide the wines for this year’s dinner (Veramonte Sauvignon Blanc 2005, Santa Carolina Carménère Barrica 2003, and Santa Rita Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon 2003), also showcasing its olive oil and fruits. Wines of Chile, Chile Oliva, Chilean Fresh Fruit Association, and Tamaya Gourmet, will be the Chilean private sector sponsors.
